The National Academies’ Forum, in pursuing its broader objects of promoting closer links with the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, examined some of the complexities of global change and the public policy options facing Australia. Untangling the causes and effects in order to devise appropriate responses, national and international is a major challenge for all those involved.
